Older iPhone and iPod Touch Upgrade Trouble

Many old iPhone users, if they had the chance to upgrade, had their iPhone bricked. When they tried to turn on the phone, it became a brick that can only call 911. As for touch owners like myself, I couldn’t even upgrade the touch, it said there was an upgrade available, but the learn more link was blank. I really hope, for Apple’s sake, this stops soon.
